Full magnet high school on old Metro site; relocate program from Hawthorne site.

PROGRESS

The New Second Ward High School project schematic design is being reviewed by CMS. The new medical high school project consists of classrooms with a focus in health curriculum. The demolition of the old Metro School located on the site is underway. Clean-out activities will be occurring during November with structural demolition scheduled to begin in December. Once the site is cleared (spring 2025), additional geotechnical testing for design will occur in preparation for construction of the new school building that is scheduled to start in early 2026.
