SCOPE OF WORK
Renovate First Ward as full magnet 6-8.
PROGRESS
The First Ward Arts Middle School Magnet has progressed into the building permit approval phase. Additional building investigations have been commissioned to identify water intrusion concerns that occurred during the recent inclement weather. CMS leadership review meetings have been held focusing on theatrical arts systems. The project update meeting is scheduled in October; feeder schools and Northwest School of the Arts parents and students have been invited. The project's scope includes interior and building envelope renovations, security vestibule, middle school arts labs and upfitting primary classrooms to accommodate secondary school students.
