SCOPE OF WORK

New 45-classroom elementary school (K-5); replaces old school built in 1969.

PROGRESS

The Bruns Avenue Elementary School Replacement project team has started this month with drywall, ceiling grid installation and proceeded with prime paint. Exterior masonry is near completion with only a select few infill areas that remain. The main electrical and mechanical room component installation progressed well over the last month with boilers, pumps and main electrical panels. Duke Energy will install the main transformer mid-April; the electrician is proceeding to meet that scheduled delivery and get the building energized. Demolition of the old building and associated site work will commence once the new building is occupied.
